House Hunting No More

I found a place!!!! I’m supposed to be moving on Sunday if they make all the changes I requested by Saturday. I can’t wait to unpack, start decorating, cook dinner, have people over and all that. My boss was able to negotiate $250 a month and its within 10 minutes walking distance of work. With a bike less than 5 minutes. Its also actually really close to the fried rice place that I go to for lunch. Soo happy πŸ™‚

Pros:
Fits in my budget
Close to work
Big windows
Kitchen
Fridge (I have actually been shown kitchens with no fridges)
1 bedroom/2 bathrooms
Garden
Front yard
Small porch
Around the corner from the stationary store (this could be potentially dangerous)
Kitchen/living room/dining room one big space (I always am frustrated when I host people and feel out of the action because I’m doing something in the kitchen while people are hanging out in the dining room or living room.Β  In this place I can stay a part of the activity πŸ™‚ )
Short space between front of toilet and opposite wall (I’ve recently become a fan of using the bathroom with my feet propped up on the wall!! TMI, I know. )

Cons:
No closet/ not a lot of storage space
Lots of mosquitoes because of garden in front
Upstairs bedroom and downstairs kitchen do not connect on inside (so I have to walk outside to get to the kitchen)

Although it is a guesthouse, I have asked them not to come in and clean my room or change my towels. I have a strong aversion to people cleaning up after me. Especially paying people to do this.

Here are the before pictures, but once its got my personal stamp on it, more pics will follow!

I’m so happy for you!!! This place looks nice too I’ll be excited to see what it looks like when you are done unpacking. That patio area is so pretty.
